Christmas Lights

In the spirit of lighthearted Christmas fun, here are the Christmas Lights at my parents’ house this holiday season.

I’ve been told that you shouldn’t wait until full dark to shoot Christmas lights, but shoot during the blue hour just after the sun goes down.  I tried it here, and I’m reasonably happy with the results.  Did you shoot any Christmas lights this year? Learn anything in the process?

Senior portrait of the day: Fast Michael

I’ve posted pics of Michael before, but I didn’t show how fast he is. Michael’s a track star who’s actually competed in the Junior Olympics. I thought it would be kind of cliche to take pictures of him in his running gear. Instead, I wanted to create a conceptual image of how fast he is. Here’s what we came up with.
