Hudson & Harper – South Valley Photographer

Hudson and Harper are two sweet kids!  I think I could stop there and let the pictures speak for themselves, but I’ll add a few more of my thoughts.

We had a fun session together that involved a lot of moving around and going on walks with their Grandpa and Grandma.  Thank you, Rob & Sarah, for sharing your property with us!  The children are full of life and energy!  Hudson and Harper have a special relationship with their grandparents, so it was neat Al and Eileen could make it to help out and be involved in their session.

I’m excited to share their session and a quick Christmas card design.  I’ve been playing a little in InDesign–venturing out from the traditional stroke options and traditional colors for Christmas.  You can see the cut line on the front of the card (so fun!) and the full color of the entire project on the back design of the card.  The main text is a chocolate brown coordinating with the warmth of the golden yellow and darker green.  I am thrilled with how it turned out.  I would love to hear what you think of it!

Hudson & Harper’s mommy put so much thought into the session–their clothing, shoes, hair pieces & hats.  I think this collection of images really shares Hudson’s lively, bubbly personality and Harper’s little girl sweetness.  Thanks for the opportunity to capture your children exactly as they are right now!

ShinnPhoto loves the Leach family / BK Collection

I love this high key session with Leah and Levi!  The relationship between the two children is precious.  He is so full of energy and she just sits and watches him.  Oh, to be 6 months old again!  Enjoy!

Snakes and Kids

This weekend we were at Heartland Christian Camp for their annual Fall Festival. We had the privilege of seeing a snake demonstration by Nathan Whittington, a biologist and teacher. Nathan brought a variety of snakes, from small to extra-large, and talked about snake safety and biology. He really opened my eyes to the relative safety of snakes and helped me to be a little more calm around them. Here are a few pictures of Nate demonstrating and kids enjoying the learning process.

Babies and Love

I had the honor of making pictures with Alex and Jennifer and their new little one, Tristan.    I edited their session this morning while I was listening to some great worship music from Todd Proctor, the worship leader at Rock Harbor church in Costa Mesa.  I loved watching the relationship that Alex and Jenny have, and how much they enjoy Tristan.  A baby truly is a source of joy, and they overflow our hearts with love.  These pictures were a powerful reminder for me of how God loves us: with abandon and with an overflowing heart.  Thanks, Alex and Jenny, for letting me share in your relationships!

Lisa Rocks

Ok, Lisa’s been really rockin’ her photo sessions lately. I’m more impressed with what she brings back every time! It reminds me of a quote I heard once: “If you don’t have a style as a photographer, it’s because you haven’t taken enough pictures.” Lisa definitely has a style, and it’s a good one. Keep it up, hun!

We are excited to be photographing children for a display that will be hung at Cal Family Health here in Reedley. It has been a pleasure to get to know the staff and their families! Here is just a sample of the portraits that we are selecting from for the final display.
