My first senior portraits | Reedley Senior Portrait Photographer
I’ve had the privilege of making tens of thousands of senior portraits, but I looked back in the archives today to see what my first senior portraits looked like. (Caveat: these aren’t literally the first senior portraits that I made. This may actually represent the second session. The first one was with a wonderful guy named Andrew, and took place on the beach in Quincy Bay south of Boston. But this is the first session I had the privilege of photographing after moving to California.) My subject’s name is Julian, and he’s a drummer. I don’t recall ever actually hearing him play, which is something I regret. But I remember the April sunshine and a mild spring day, and Julian’s willingness to work patiently with me to make senior portraits. Thanks to Julian (and his mom, Angie) for giving me the chance to work with you!
Snow and Love
This is the moment after Wade and Shelby were announced as Husband and Wife! ‘Snow’ started falling through the lights, and it was a beautiful moment. I love these kinds of pictures. Do you guys like seeing this artsy stuff, or should I stick to just posting pictures of people?
Enjoy,
Andrew

Here’s a photo from a cool location we found while shooting Jason and Rachel’s wedding. The location seems to be one of those places with it’s own stories to tell. If you can think of a story to go with the location, leave it in the comments!
Veteran’s Day
In honor of Veteran’s Day, I’ve gone through some of my old military photos and pulled out a few favorites. Full captions for most of them are available at Flickr. Leave a comment to let me know what you think!
Photos from the Archives
- I took this image of Frankie Leal while we were working on a cover image for his local magazine, Traffic.
- Seagulls. Sunset. Palm trees. Can anyone guess where this is?
- Jon and Rachel embrace in front of a sunset. I love picturing them like this!
- This is an old picture of Naomi, Lisa’s cousin’s daughter. We hung this in our first gallery as an example of the early digital artwork that we offered. The effect may look dated at some point, but her cute little expression is classic!
- Here’s a headliner image we made for Kristin’s modeling portfolio.
